Enigmatic Postcard

One of my favorite things in the whole world is receiving mail.

Not bills or ads.

Anything that is personal.

Someone being thoughtful.

A couple of days ago my roomie brought in this little number!

Have any of you wise and wonderful beings seen these?

Neat and sweet.

Just a matter of One, Two, Three, wait and see.

And I received this from mi Madre! I’m enjoying all the thoughtful mail sent gifts.

Read up on these babies. Contender Beans poppin’ up every where.

I can’t wait to use them in a home cooked stirfry.

Our elephants are looking awesome! I love the trunk flowers.

There is so many sprouts growing up. Everyday I learn something new about my plants. The book mi Madre sent has been a great teacher for growing my plants in their ideal environments. The weather is not predictable but what I do can be.

HAPPY GARDENING FELLOW GREEN THUMBS!

Snapshots in Another’s Sanctuary

I adore the garden our wonderful little household has created. It’s beautiful and life-giving. But what else I love is the inspirations of another’s wonderland. Here’s a few captured moments of my morning in my friends’ garden …

I love this pineapple!

Bloomin’ Beauties

Just enchanting.

I can’t wait for ours to get that far along.

Hot Banana Peppers swishing in the breeze.

I believe these are another pepper, not sure if they’re Jalapenos though.

I think these were the Yummy Bells.

Koi Fish and Turtles!

First time I got see them!

I hope you enjoy these joys I got to see this morning as much as I have.

Watermelon Wednesday

It’s All Upstream from Here

the world is my oyster as I unfurl my leaves,

taking root as far as I please.

My Passion and My Purpose quietly flourish,

as I take this journey upstream,

only to reach for the golden light who feeds my soul.

I must spread like a fire before anyone knows.

oh, the twirling vines you see are designed to overtake all that stand infront of me.

but when the time arrives,

all the taming and maintaining you do,

I will bear fruit and you will know Sweet Victory too.

No Dirt?? No Problem Part II

Yesterday was an eventful day for the house.

A lot of creative energy buzzing and swirling about.

I don’t have the largest garden budget and love to venture beyond the typical use of soil.

Dustin, being the innovative engineer he is, created our first models of the aquaponics creations we have now scatter around the house.

The long root is the sweet corn Dustin placed in.

The Ballon Mollys think I’m feeding them.

The left one, Jabba the Hut, is prego.

I got so excited I made Dustin create a floater for some Sweet Mint.

Then when you wander outside…

More seedlings galore!

Tonto standing guard.

Used a restaurant size Balsamic Dressing jug, a bath squishy and styrofoam  to float.

My first one is a Pond Pumpkin.

They say pumpkins need a lot of water…

My Wednesday Wonderland

THIS IS MY WEDNESDAY MORNING . . .

I can’t wait to make these suckers into Poppers.

They look delicious enough to eat.

Patience.

Henry amazes me every morning.

Another Cucumber!!!

My roomies’ Pineapple going crazy.

Corn.

Pumpkin.

Cantaloupe.

Lemon.

Cilantro.

Okra.

Carrots.

Snack Pack Gone Wild.

Counted 4 Watermelons birthing.

I LOVE TOMATOS!

This is Elton John our first Koi fish.

I got him for 5 bucks when he was teeny weeny.

He’s not teeny weeny any more!

Tranquility at its finest.

I hope you’re enjoying your garden just as much as I enjoy mine!

Long Live Henry

My first plant was a cactus that sat on the kitchen window sill.

After a couple of months I realized I was watering a dead cactus.

Since then I let it in my brain that I would never acquire a green thumb.

Seems like an easy conclusion that I am a cactus killer to say the least.

Well I was wrong…

Meet Henry my Dragon Fruit.

He’s a badass .
